
USCIS has announced that it will permanently dispose of older E-Verify and SAVE system records beginning in January 2026. This update is part of routine federal data management procedures that remove records more than ten years old. Employers and government agencies that use these systems should be aware of upcoming deadlines to download any case records they may need to keep.
According to USCIS, the affected records are those last updated on or before December 31, 2015. Employers who use E-Verify have until January 4, 2026, to download case data. After January 5, 2026, these older E-Verify case records will no longer be available.
For agencies that use the SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) program, records will be removed starting January 20, 2026. SAVE agency users with the Superuser role have until January 19, 2026, to download the historic records report.
